Judy Hua

I’m an Assistant professor in Accounting and be a master thesis and doctoral dissertation advisor both in Taiwan and USA . I taught emerging accounting issues, management accounting, corporate financial management and Business Research Methods at undergraduate and graduate levels for over 9 years. I Devoted myself to academic research at financial accounting standards, auditing market, corporate governance, derivatives, market efficiency and had several papers published in outstanding journals. I organized several seminars/workshop/ conference on Taiwan Financial Accounting Standards amendments, IFRS convergence, and accounting education issues of IFRS adoption. I also serve on Taiwan Accounting Association committee and carried out some research projects about finance issues funded by National science council.

I was in charge of Fine Art and Music Education program in Mission valley elementary school for 6 years. I also participated costume design and making in local musical theater, Choir and ballet performances. The local musical shows I work for including: Honk, Seussical the Music, My son Pinocchio, Little Mermaid, High School Music and Alice in Wonder Land. Besides costume design, I make stage decoration, background and props for several school events, Bay area Chinese New Year events. Now, I teach math, cooking art and Hand craft at I Fly Young for years. I’m also a teaching cooking-class as a special chef guest in TV programs.

來美國以後擔任主日學老師與統籌六年以上經驗,相信用愛教導尊重的重要,相互尊重帶來好秩序的教室環境,才能產生好的學習效果,一直是我教學理念!在蒙特梭利的訓練課程中,學到了老師不是只有教導授業,而是需要觀察每個孩子的興趣與性向, 發現每個孩子其實都需要客製化的教導方式!


Emma Peng

Emma Peng, Green Forest’s Art Director, has over 14 years of professional experience as a children’s art teacher and art director.

Her passion for children’s art education led her to study with full scholarships at both the National Taiwan University of Art (Fine Art Major) and National Taipei University of Education (Masters in Art Education).  Her artistic accomplishments include artwork commissioned by the President of Taiwan as gifts to foreign diplomats.

In Taiwan, Emma founded 4 fine art studios that grew to over 1,000 students, with 18 instructors.  After moving to the U.S., Emma founded Green Forest Art Studio and currently resides with her family in the East Bay.


David Sheen, Attorney at Law

David Sheen’s parents immigrated to the United States more than three decades ago, so their children could pursue a higher education and obtain a more fulfilling life. Because David has had firsthand experience of the many obstacles and challenges that immigrants have to face in a new country, it was an easy choice for him to pursue a career in law with the goal of assisting others to achieve their American dream and become good citizens of this great nation.

David has a Doctorate Degree in Law and he has over 17 year of professional experience as a respected attorney in the San Francisco bay area. He is the Principal Attorney of JD Global Law Firm. He has represented hundreds of clients ranging from multi-national companies to mid-sized and small companies, as well as individuals. His law firm is a full service law firm that helps clients in the following areas: Estate Planning, Immigration Law (including investment based EB-5 visa), U.S. and International Business Services, and Family Law. He has personally represented clients from all around the world including China, India, United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, France, Senegal, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Mexico, Canada, Israel, Vietnam, Australia, Spain, Thailand, Malaysia and Philippines.

David is licensed to practice law before all California State Courts as well as United States Federal District Courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal. He is an active member of the California State Bar, American Immigration Lawyers Association, Asian American Bar Association, Associations of International Business Lawyers, U.S. and Fremont Chamber of Commerce. He was also a member of American Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Bar Association of San Francisco, Barristers Club of San Francisco, and Alameda County Bar Association.

David has received numerous awards and recognitions from U.S. Congressman to California State Senator. David has been quoted by the San Jose Mercury News. He also has been interviewed by Sing Tao Radio, Channel 26 KTSF and KCNS TV on various legal and community service related subjects. Mr. Sheen was also featured in the CCYP among the most successful Asian-American professionals in Northern California. He is also a community advocate and a frequent guest speaker for local schools, businesses, and community organizations on various topics about civic participation, immigration law reform, estate planning and education.

David has taken many leadership positions in the community. He is the Past President of Citizen for Better Community (CBC 2007-2008). Currently, he is serving as the Legal Counsel of the CBC Board of Directors. CBC is a non-profit community service organization founded in 1992. CBC’s mission is to initiate, sponsor and promote community events, which will affect the well-being of Chinese Americans with an emphasis on education, health, business and community involvement. David currently also serves as the President (2014-Present) of Asian Business Alliance. ABA is a supportive organization addressing the needs and challenges of many Asian and minority business owners, including limited exposure, language/cultural barriers, and other business development issues. Mr. Sheen also served as a Past Board Member and Vice President of Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association (APAPA) Bay Area Chapter. This organization was founded by Mr. CC Yin. APAPA’s Mission is to promote the advancement of Asian and Pacific Islander (API) Americans through active participation and leadership in civic and public affairs.

David is a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. He and his family attend Forerunner Christian Church in Fremont. He volunteers as a Sunday School Message Teacher at FRCC (PreK Class). He enjoys reading, drawing, camping and traveling with his family.
